What if there would be an opportunity to play baseball in 27 degree weather, in Europe, in December, in front of MLB scouts, against the best players in your age group? Well, here you go…this is by far the best European baseball experience throughout the winter period.

How can I be selected for this tournament?

Start off by filling out the registration form below. If you are not a national team player for your country or academy player it is advised to send a video showcasing your baseball skills. Things like your 60-yard dash, bat/ ball exit velocity and throwing velocity (arm strength) are recommended. Some live action at your preferred position would also be great. This could include bat swings at batting practice (no side tosses), pitching deliveries, taking ground balls to see how you field, etc… PLEASE NOTE: registering does not automatically mean you will be selected for the tournament. The coaching staff will pick 6 players per team and the organization will randomly add the remaining players. This means everyone has a chance to play! The aim is to have a total of 14 players per team and have 4 teams per age category. Perhaps 15 or 16 players for U15&U18 due to pitch counts. As last year was a great success the organization has expanded the teams and separated the U13 to the first week and placed U15 &U18 in the next week to ensure more playing time.

What about transportation on the island itself?

It is recommended to rent a car at the airport so you can see everything this beautiful island has to offer. However, the organization will have busses available to transport you from the airport to the hotel and back. The costs will be €20,00 per person per trip. As far as transportation from the Acuario Hotel to the baseball field and back, that will be free of charge as the super kind locals of the best Spanish baseball club “Tenerife Marlins” will be glad to pick and drop you off. What are the costs involved?

If you are selected for this incredible tournament you will receive an invoice of €150 euro this includes a playing jersey. If you are not selected you don’t pay anything. As players travel from different countries it is up to the players to book flights and arrange hotel reservations. It is worth noting that hotel costs are very low and can vary from €30 to €40 per night per person including breakfast. Also, note Tenerife is a tax-free island and everything is cheap. A plate of delicious food costs 3 euro and a beer 1 euro. Gas for your rental car is about 1 euro per liter.

How can I play this tournament when I have school at the same time?

The organization understands that the tournament will be held throughout the school period. It will therefore issue a special letter that the player may use to receive time off from school.
